The news in the housing market continues to improve for those who have a home to sell.  On January 20, 2012, the National Association of Realtors reported strong sales in December, 2011, up 5% from November’s pace and 3.5% from a year ago. 

Lawrence Yun, the NAR’s chief economist was quoted saying, “The pattern of home sales in recent months demonstrates a market in recovery.  Record low mortgage interest rates, job growth and bargain home prices are giving more consumers the confidence they need to enter the market.”
